A Presentation by Greg Susla, critical care pharmacist for Astra Zeneca, National Civil War Medicine Museum volunteer and gardener who will discuss the use of medicinal herbs and plants throughout history and especially during the Civil War.
10:00 AM Thomas Farm House (former home of our own Jo Clapp)
Handicap drop off only - Main Driveway to House 4632 Araby Church Road.
Everyone Else, drive past the main drive way, turn right at Baker Valley Road, then turn right onto the Farm Driveway at the block ranger house

How To Prepare Horticultural Entries for a Flower Show

Cathy Karl, an Accredited Master Flower Show Judge and member of the New Market Garden Club, will give a hands-on presentation of how to prepare entries for a flower show. Each member is asked to bring either a houseplant or cutting from your yard.

Children's Gardening

Rita Hamlet will be our presenter. She is the Development Specialist of Howard County Library System and was the project lead for the Enchanted Garden design. This is an outdoor teaching venue that centers on environmental education, science and health education for children of all ages. Assisting her will be her co-presenter, Anna Hackeling, the Garden Coordinator for the Enchanted Garden.
