BIRDING PRESENTATION AND WALK
GAMBRILL MILL TRAIL,
MONOCACY NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD
Come along for an early spring bird watching expedition along the lowland trail leading to the Monocacy River overlook and Civil War site marker. Springtime migration will be underway and will likely offer some interesting sightings.
Mike Spurrier began bird watching in 1988, and has had the opportunity to bird watch in many diverse parts of the world. Mike is president of the Frederick Bird Club, the local chapter of the Maryland Ornithological Society. He is a certified Maryland Master Naturalist, and is certified in Permaculture Design. He is the volunteer manager of the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary in Mt. Airy, and a volunteer with Streamlink Education.
HIGH GLEN GARDENS TOUR
We will be treated to a tour of the private gardens of the Ausherman Family.
Michael Burditt, Property Manager, and Sabrina Hartley, Garden Manager, will host us on the tour of the Gardens.
EARTH AND SPACE SCIENCE LABORATORY
We will be treated to a surprise by the Directors of the ESSL.
Adam Farbman and Lisa Bruck are Co-Directors and sole teachers of the Earth and Space Science Lab.
